Science Advisor:  “EMPAFISH: European marine protected areas as tools for fisheries management and conservation.”  This project is funded by the European Commission, involves ~40 scientists from 14 institutions and 5 EU countries, and is designed to evaluate the use of MPAs in the Mediterranean.  I serve as the Science Advisor with particular reference to ecological effects, impact assessment and the application of meta-analysis. (2006-2008).
