This organization will be limited to approximately 8 students who are seriously interested in the study of both molecular and population genetics. Students will work closely with a professor who will select research articles and moderate discussions. Students will develop a working vocabulary of technical terms and methodology as well as analytical and creative problem solving skills. Most importantly, students will become knowledgeable of current research and will be able to address issues concerning experimental design, research focus, and moral/ethical problems in the field.

This is an exciting opportunity for serious students who plan to pursue studies in graduate or professional school.

The first meeting is scheduled for the third week of May. If you are interested, please email dasein@grove.ufl.edu (Teresa Baquero) or call 336-8903.
