Hannah Vander Zanden

I am interested in the nutritional ecology of loggerheads and green turtles.  I use stable isotope analysis to examine the diet of nesting individuals.  Additionally, I am interested in the role of sea turtles as biological transporters of nutrients.  I also employ stable isotope analysis to examine the dispersal of marine-derived nutrients that nesting females bring to the beach ecosystem in Tortuguero, Costa Rica.
